A little about me

I bought my first guitar in 1984. I worked as a busboy at the Flap Jack Shack in Traverse City, MI. It's a beautiful place. Look it up if you don't know anything about it. It's the kind of place you don't know how beautiful it is until you move away.

When I started to play it was all hair metal and 80s pop. I  was fortunate enough to have an amazing guitar player for an uncle. He played in classic rock bands throughout northern Michigan and was a constant source of inspiration. He was considered by many to be one of the best rock guitarists in the state. If I felt like I needed some new ideas, I spent a few hours with him in his studio. The musical gifts he shared with me are something I can never repay other than to honor the man by playing myself.

After a thrilling career as a stay at home dad,  I decided to pursue life a a musician. Over the last few years, I have been called a "powerful performer," "talented on vocals and guitar," and "a great vibe and technical player." I truly believe passion and integrity are essential elements to life in music.
